Artificial intelligence

KT Corp. unveiled on Monday the Canadian edition of Genie TV's AI Travel View, which was created using generative artificial intelligence technology.

AI Travel View is a content service that applies AI technology to create images and sounds of famous cities and natural landscapes around the world.

Since June, KT has introduced content from 20 countries including New York, Venice, Thailand, Maldives and Paris.

During this period, the service has been used about 1 million times.

The Canadian version was a collaboration between Genie Music and Destination Canada and was completed by utilizing KT's self-developed media solution “Magic Platform” to create videos with AI and incorporating Genie Music's AI-created background music.

Based on actual photographs provided by Destination Canada, KT composed the video to showcase the spirit of a fall road trip in Ontario, Quebec's fall foliage, northern aurora spots, the Canadian Rockies and temperate rainforests.

Genie TV customers can watch AI Travel View Canada for free on Genie TV's VOD>Music menu until October 13th.

KT is also planning to update its winter-themed vacation content.
