Rebellions, a South Korean artificial intelligence (AI) chip design startup, said on Friday its strategic partnership with Taiwanese Design and Manufacturing Service (DMS) provider Pegatron to develop a high-performance module featuring Rebellions’ next-generation AI accelerator Rebel. 

The partners will co-develop a dedicated module system featuring optimized electrical, mechanical, and thermal solutions to maximize the performance of Rebellion's Rebel accelerator.

Pegatron was founded in 2008. a global powerhouse in the DMS industry that combines extensive R&D capabilities with vertically integrated manufacturing to deliver innovative solutions.

With annual revenues of $40 billion and a workforce of 100,000 employees, the company has established itself as a pioneer in hardware innovation.

Drawing on accumulated experience in server design and manufacturing, Pegatron focuses on developing a variety of state-of-the-art servers that meet the requirements of present and future Cloud Service Providers and enterprise-grade data centers.

“Developing hyperscale AI accelerators such as REBEL requires both technical excellence and manufacturing expertise, which Pegatron has proven through its extensive track record,” CTO of Rebellions Jinwook Oh said.
