[Speakers' Biography]

Herman joined Infracapital in 2019 and has over 30 years’ experience as financial adviser to companies, governments and investors in the power, utilities, renewables and broader infrastructure sectors. Herman started his career at Kleinwort Benson, moving on to UBS where he became Head of European Utilities. From there, Herman spent his career at Deutsche Bank and HSBC undertaking roles as Head of European Utilities and Head of Power & Utilities EMEA respectively. Herman has extensive experience advising companies, investors and governments on transactions in the power, renewables, utilities and broader infrastructure sectors - most recently as Senior Advisor at Aperghis & Co, an advisory boutique focused on the Netherlands. Herman studied Economics and Business Studies at the University of Amsterdam and obtained a Masters in Japanese Language and Japanese Studies from SOAS (University of London).
