Korea Investment & Securities announced on Tuesday that it hosted analysts from Stifel Financial Corp. at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, for the “2024 Stifel Research Forum,” the first event of its kind in South Korea involving United States’ analysts.

The forum was organized to analyze promising sectors and stocks in the US stock market and share investment strategies for private bankers (PBs) at branches nationwide. Four analysts from Stifel participated in the forum.

They provided the latest investment information and analysis on biotechnology, market strategy, semiconductor, optical and telecommunications equipment, and software.

They also shared the local atmosphere that is difficult to understand from existing reports, such as vivid news confirmed through direct communication with local companies and the reactions of US investors.

“We hope that this forum will serve as an opportunity for PBs who are working tirelessly on the front lines to gain insights to respond more agilely to global market movements. We will continue to actively support PBs to enhance their capabilities and ultimately grow client assets effectively,” said Kim Sung-hwan, CEO of Korea Investment & Securities.

In March, Korea Investment & Securities launched the “Sleepless in USA” service, which translates Stifel’s equity reports and provides them to retail clients.

The service is provided twice a day, with Stifel's reports that are of high interest and informational value to investors, selected by Korea Investment & Securities.
