SK Car Rental said on Wednesday that it has obtained the safety and health management system (ISO45001) certification from the British Standards Institution (BSI), an international standard certification body, for the first time in the industry.

The safety and health management system (ISO45001) is the highest level of international certification in the field of safety and health established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

In Korea, with the enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, safety awareness has been raised, and companies that have acquired certifications are increasing all across industries.

To obtain this certification, SK Car Rental newly introduced and announced safety and health management policies and established a dedicated organization.

In addition, it has built up a high-level safety and health management system that meets international standards by analyzing and improving the risk factors of all workplaces and partners.

Specifically, company-wide efforts were made, such as self-evaluation of internal auditors with safety and health-related qualifications; activities to strengthen employees' safety awareness; expanding investment in safety and health areas such as facilities, diagnosis, and systems; and revitalization of the industrial safety and health committee and the safety and health consultative body within the company.

An official of SK Car Rental said, "This certification is the recognition of our intention to take the safety and health of our members as the top priority," adding, "We will do our best to create a working environment where all constituents can satisfy.”
