Hyundai Motor Group announced on Friday that Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Corp. have top seven categories in the 2024 Best Cars for the Money awards in the US by the weekly local media US News World Report.

Established in 1948, US News & World Report evaluates the quality and value of cars based on analyses by automotive specialists on factors such as driving performance, safety, and technology.

The Best Cars for the Money awards are selected after considering comprehensive factors such as maintenance costs, fuel expenses, used car prices, and more.

Previously, Hyundai Motor and Kia became winners in six out of 11 categories at the 2022 Best Cars for the Money awards. Last year, they also received awards in seven out of 12.

This year, out of the total 11 categories, Hyundai Motor's passenger car Avante (name in the US: Elantra) Hybrid, electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) IONIQ 5, and compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) Tucson received awards.

Kia's mid-size SUV Telluride, best-selling SUV Sportage Hybrid, Sportage Plug-in Hybrid, and crossover SUV Soul were selected as the best cars in their respective categories.

"Award-winning vehicles will provide customers with a valuable ownership experience by offering outstanding value, quality, and reasonable economy," US News & World Report said.
