Kia Corp., South Korea’s second-largest automaker, said on Thursday it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to supply its purpose-built vehicles (PBVs) to DHL Korea.

Under the agreement, Kia will provide its first medium-sized PBV, the PV5, to DHL Korea starting in 2026.

Kia will also develop dedicated PBV models tailored to DHL Korea’s logistics operations and vehicle usage patterns.

Both companies expected that the collaboration would accelerate the adoption of eco-friendly vehicles in the logistics sector and contribute to establishing a global green logistics ecosystem.

Kia plans to leverage the partnership to explore collaboration opportunities with other markets, including Asia and Europe.

It also aims to expand its lineup of PBVs for such partnerships, including the large-sized PV7, slated for release in 2027.
