Major chemical companies in South Korea, such as SK Geo Centric (formerly SK Global Chemical), Lotte Chemical Corp. and Lotte Fine Chemical, are participating in Asia's largest plastic and rubber industry exhibition to showcase their advanced high-value-added materials and increase their market presence by expanding their customer base in the world's largest market, China.

SK Geo Centric announced on Friday that it will be participating in "Chinaplas 2023," which will take place in Shenzhen, China, from April 17 to 20. This trade show is attended by over 3,900 global chemical-related companies from more than 150 countries.

SK Geo Centric has set up its booth centering on the "city oil field" technology, which recycles waste plastic made from petroleum to extract oil. The company has also showcased its flagship products such as ethylene acrylic acid (EAA), a high-performance bonding resin, and lightweight materials for vehicles (UD tapes). Visitors can also see the core technology used in the Ulsan Advanced Recycling Cluster (ARC).

"This will be an opportunity to showcase our company's future growth potential to global customers, and we will accelerate innovation to achieve our goal of becoming the world's leading recycling material company," said Na Kyung-soo, CEO of SK Geo Centric.
