Naver Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Naver Corp., announced that it conducts the project "Naver AI Rush 2023" from Friday until the end of the year, utilizing the large-language model (LLM) artificial intelligence (AI) "HyperCLOVA X" to support the growth of startups.

Naver AI Rush, now in its 5th year, has been held annually since 2019. The company introduced it as an event that provides programs to proactively respond to evolving AI trends, playing an important role in building the domestic AI technology community and nurturing talent.

This year, when ultra-large AI technology is receiving even more attention in the business domain, the event is planned as an opportunity for various startups to leverage Naver's AI technology and grow their businesses. The event will involve the participation of 20 tech startups operating in industries such as healthcare, content, data and education.

Naver Cloud has been providing the participating companies with access to Naver's HyperCLOVA X, through its application programming interface (API) since July 10. Each startup plans to showcase its own services built using this technology through demo formats.

The participating startups will receive credits worth up to 100 million won ($79,230), which can be used for utilizing the technical solutions of the Naver Cloud platform.

Recruitment for university students and graduate students for this event will also begin on August 1. The selected participants will engage in various tasks to explore AI research, services, and entrepreneurship related to HyperCLOVA X based on the contents of their respective fields of application and ultimately deliver tangible results.
