KT Skylife Co.,the satellite TV service subsidiary of South Korea's telecommunications-oriented KT Group, said on Wednesday that it is offering Disney Plus services on its channel to strengthen its over-the-top (OTT) media service lineup.

SkyLife will first provide Disney Plus services to customers with the latest Android set-top box (Android 4th) and will expand the services gradually to all Android set-top box customers within a month.

At SkyLife, Disney Plus consists of two plans: Disney Plus, a single-product plan that provides Disney Plus content only; and Sky Disney Plus, a combined plan that serves 239 SkyLife real-time TV channels in addition to Disney Plus.

The monthly subscription fee is  9,900 won ($8) including VAT for Disney Plus and 19,800 won for Sky Disney Plus.

The subscription fee will be charged in conjunction with SkyLife's charge, and once a user logs in with the set-top box after signing up, the login in the set-top box will be maintained until he or she logs in with a different ID.

"With the launch of Disney Plus following YouTube and Netflix, SkyLife customers will be able to enjoy all of the popular OTT overseas services on TV. We will continue to provide various OTT contents that customers want to watch," said Jung Hoon, head of SkyLife Marketing Service.
