South Korean electronics giant Samsung Electronics Co. said on Monday that it has launched a new premium soundbar model for 2023, featuring technologies that enhance the sound quality and gaming experience with its TVs.

The HW-Q990C is the top-of-the-line product in Samsung’s Q series of soundbars, which have Q Symphony, Space Fit Sound and Game Mode Pro functions.

Q Symphony synchronizes the soundbar with the TV speakers to create a more immersive surround sound. Space Fit Sound adjusts the sound output based on the room and TV location. Game Mode Pro automatically optimizes the sound for different game genres, such as shoot 'em up and racing games.

The HW-Q990C also has a built-in SmartThings Hub, which allows users to control various smart home devices with Samsung’s SmartThings app without a separate hub.

Samsung said it plans to roll out five new soundbar models in Korea in the first half of this year, aiming to offer customers the best home entertainment experience with its TVs.

“Samsung’s 2023 soundbars have been upgraded with richer acoustics and sensual design,” said Kim Chul-ki, vice president of Samsung’s Visual Display Business Division. “We will provide customers with the best home entertainment experience by combining them with Samsung TV.”
