Three affiliates of Samsung Group are looking to hire outstanding foreign researchers.

Samsung Electronics Co., Samsung Display and Samsung SDI Co. on Monday said they will hire experienced staff in research and development (R&D) from abroad.

To secure outstanding R&D talent from around the world, the three this year launched recruitment screening for experienced foreign staff for those wishing to work in South Korea.

The foreign workers hired will hold the same jobs as employees at the domestic business sites of each affiliate.

Targeting college students expected to graduate in February or those who have finished their degrees, the campaign allows applications through the Samsung recruiting website through Sept. 8.

The three companies will select the final candidates after document screening next month, interviews in October and health checks in November.

"This isn't meant to deprive domestic workers of job opportunities but instead seeks to give new hope to foreign nationals who studied in Korea because they wanted to, as they often lack suitable job options here even if they want to stay," a business source said.
