Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Tuesday that its 2024 model "The Frame" TV became the first display to receive "Artful Color Certification" from the global color company Pantone.

Pantone awards certification by evaluating how accurately the display implements the 24-color standard pattern mode in a standard light environment specified by the International Commission on Illumination (CIE).

"The Frame" received certification specializing in the "Art Mode," which automatically adjusts content brightness and color tones based on the surrounding ambient lighting conditions.

In standard lighting conditions, such as in ordinary homes or gallery lighting, users can enjoy more realistic viewing of the 2,300 art contents provided by Samsung Store through "The Frame."

Previously, "The Frame" received evaluation through "Pantone Color Certification" in 2022, confirming its accurate representation of thousands of colors and skin tones in the Pantone Matching System (PMS).

"As the accuracy of color representation is a crucial criterion in choosing TV products, receiving the Pantone Artful Color Certification reaffirms the true value of The Frame once again," said Kim Yong-jae, vice president of Samsung Electronics' visual display business.
