NewJeans surpasses 5 billion cumulative Spotify streams

K-pop girl group NewJeans has surpassed five billion combined streams on Spotify, the world's largest music platform, its agency, Adore, announced on Monday.

The total number of streams of NewJeans' songs released so far was 50.1 billion as of the end of August.

This is about two years and one month after their debut.

In March of last year, the group reached a combined total of 1 billion streams on Spotify, which was recognized by the UK's Guinness World Records as the fastest time ever for a K-pop artist.

NewJeans has a total of 13 songs with over 100 million streams on Spotify.

In addition to OMG, which has over 700 million streams, Ditto and Super Shy each have over 600 million streams, and Hype Boy has over 500 million streams.

NewJeans' songs are most listened to in the United States, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Taiwan and Thailand.
