South Korea'st budget carrier Jeju Air Co. announced on Monday that its most popular in-flight meals and cabin cafe items in 2023 were bulgogi deopbap (bulgogi over rice) and ramyun, respectively.

Bulgogi deopbap accounted for 25% of all in-flight meal sales, making it the top-selling in-flight meal for the fifth consecutive year.

Following the bulgogi deopbap, the next popular items were o-saek bibimbap (mixed rice with five colors) at 13.9%, jaeyuk deopbap (spicy pork bulgogi over rice) at 8.7%, and chicken and beer set at 7.9%.

Jeju Air said it is expanding its in-flight meal options to appeal to both domestic and international passengers.

In December 2023, the airline introduced new lunchbox options, including sogalbijim (beef rib stew) and tteokgalbi (grilled short rib patties).

In the cabin cafe, ramyun was the most popular item, accounting for 20.7% of all sales.

Cans of beer (14.3%) and pure tangerine juice (6.6%) were also popular.
