A-Team Ventures, which runs an online manufacturing platform "Capa," said on Friday that it has raised a Series B funding of 5 billion won ($4.1 million).

General trading company LX International Corp., as well as Altos Ventures, A-Team Ventures' existing investor, took part as strategic investors.

This is the first time in which A-Team Ventures has enlisted investment from strategic investors. As a financial investor, Hana Securities also invested in the company for the first time.

A-Team Ventures offers "Capa," an online manufacturing platform that helps customer firms that want to outsource their manufacturing work find available capacity online, and "Capa Connect," a drawing-based collaboration tool developed for manufacturing and construction firms. Currently, about 2,200 specialized manufacturers are participating as partners.

A-Team Ventures plans to invest the proceeds secured in the latest funding round in research and development (R&D), including securing new customers, upgrading Capa services, and automating AI-based estimates. In addition, it plans to use the global business capabilities and networks of LX International, a strategic investor, to look for new business opportunities for Capa and seek overseas expansion.

"Our goal is to enlist potential customers who are more familiar with the offline environment and those located in domestic industrial zones while making online manufacturing as easy and convenient as Internet shopping," said Ko San, CEO of A-Team Ventures.
