The South Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on Monday that it will host the global startup festival ComeUp 2024 at COEX, Seoul on December 11 and 12.

In its sixth year, ComeUp is a platform to showcase South Korea's outstanding startup ecosystem and foster exchanges among global startup and venture ecosystem members, including domestic and international startups and investors.

This year's slogan, "Innovation Beyond Borders," reflects the theme of startups leading global innovation beyond national and technological boundaries.

The event will feature over 150 startups and investors from more than 40 countries, including the UAE, Japan, Uganda, and Colombia, participating in exhibitions, pitching sessions, and conferences.

The UAE, Japan, and India will set up its pavilions.

Uganda and Colombia, which implement South Korea’s Youth Startup Academy program through Official Development Assistance (ODA), will also operate separate exhibition booths.

The African Development Bank will highlight promising startups from Africa.

\A policy promotion center will introduce key Korean startup and venture policies and programs, offering consultations on visa issuance and settling in South Korea.
