South Korea’s Booyoung Group donated 600 buses to Laos.

According to the group on Thursday, the Chairman of Booyoung Group Lee Joong-Keun, and Prime Minister of Laos Sonexay Siphandone, Deputy Prime Minister Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune, attended the donation ceremony held on the previous day.

The Laos government honored Chairman Lee for his contributions to the social and economic development of Laos, awarding him the highest-grade medal, the "First Development Order Presidential Medal," that can be bestowed upon foreign nationals.

Chairman Lee had previously donated 1,200 buses to Cambodia in February, expressing his hope for improved national strength in Laos through the use of buses and fostering greater friendship and cooperation between South Korea and Laos.
