South Korea’s retail giant Shinsegae Group is strengthening its luxury hotel business with the grand opening of Josun Palace in Seoul’s Gangnam on May 25.

Josun Palace is the fourth brand launched by Shinsegae’s hotel unit Josun Hotels & Resorts, after L'Escape Hotel, Grand Josun and Gravity, and is the company’s highest-grade label.

Under the brand slogan “Exclusively Yours,” Josun Palace boasts 254 lavishly appointed guest rooms as well as The Great Hall on the third floor that can accommodate up to 330 people for banquets and other events.

Josun Palace offers a selection of five premium fine-dining restaurants and bars including Eatanic Garden, a Korean contemporary restaurant, The Great Hong Yuan, a modern Cantonese restaurant, and the buffet restaurant Constans.

The new hotel is built on the site of former Renaissance Hotel in Gangnam.

“Josun Palace succeeds the hundred-year heritage of Josun Hotel built in 1914, currently The Westin Josun Seoul. Like the original Josun Hotel, our latest luxury hotel Josun Palace will offer a totally new cultural experience for all guests and visitors,” said a Josun Hotels & Resorts spokesman.
