Hana Bank said on Friday that it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Toss Securities for 24-hour foreign exchange trading at the former's headquarters the previous afternoon.

Through the latest agreement, Hana Bank will provide 24-hour exchange rate and transaction services through APIs with Toss Securities; establish a secure system for the growth and efficiency of the forex market; and offer more favorable investment opportunities through 24-hour exchange rate services.

In particular, Hana Bank will provide Toss Securities with 24-hour forex trading services and real-time offshore market exchange rate data, from 9 am to 3:30 pm in the Seoul forex market, as well as late-night overseas stock trading hours when the bank's exchange rate data release ends.

With this, it is possible to provide real-time exchange rate information to overseas stock investors who trade at exchange rates that differ from the latest market prices.

Hana Bank plans to lead the contactless forex electronic platform market by expanding 24-hour forex trading.

"We will create a new trend in the foreign exchange market through a continuous partnership with as many financial services providers such as Toss Securities, and we will strive to provide innovative financial services in various fields as a leading forex bank," said Namgung-won, vice president of Hana Bank's Business Planning Group.
