Silvia Health Inc., an age-tech startup based in Seoul, South Korea said on Monday that it has completed a pre-Series A investment with the participation of an existing shareholder Klim ventures, and newcomers such as D3 Jubilee Partners, DSC Investment, and KB Investment. The funding amount has yet to be disclosed.

Silvia Health is focusing on developing an aging solution app Sylvia that screen and detect mental issues through cognitive function evaluation for early diagnosis and prevention of dementia.

The mobile phone (or tablet PC)-based professional close-up management app will provide customized steady brain health care programs for users to prevent dementia in their daily lives.

Currently, Silvia Health is upgrading the app's user-tailored cognitive function content with experts from university hospitals, while conducting clinical research with Indiana University of the U.S. and Chosun University hospitals to verify its effectiveness.

Silvia Health plans to facilitate the injected funds in verifying the safety and effectiveness of the Silvia solutions and tapping into overseas markets.

The company will also use the proceeds to enhance the quality of expert management services, establish a mild cognitive impairment patient management system for medical professionals, develop AI-based dementia tests and prevention functions, and launch paid subscription services for individual customers.

"We plan to focus on recruiting new talent and upgrading professional services, enabling us to advance into overseas markets and to develop digital treatments. We will reflect the opinions of overseas customers in building smarter 'Silvia' solutions," said Ko Myung-jin, CEO of Sylvia Health.
