Lotteria, South Korea's fast food franchise run by Lotte GRS, launched "Ria Miracle Burger II" with 100% plant-based patties using soy protein.

It is a renewal of Ria Miracle Burger Lotteria introduced in 2020, which adopted a meat-free patty for the first time in the industry.

Only using soybean protein, Lotteria has improved the patty in a way that is juicy and savory, with a texture and mouthfeel similar to that of real beef.

"With rising awareness of the environment and aversion to animal cruelties, an increasing number of customers is preferring vegetarian meat," said an official of Lotteria CRS.

The same official added that Lotteria will lead the meat-free burger market through continuous product development and communication with customers.
