South Korean AI search platform Liner announced on Wednesday the launch of a groundbreaking interactive search chatbot called "Liner Chat," designed to support 156 languages and provide a highly personalized user experience. The cutting-edge chatbot is an evolution of the company's "Liner AI" search feature, which debuted last month.

Offering a personalized search experience, Liner Chat leverages content collected and explored through LINER curation, incorporating large language models. The chatbot intelligently answers questions based on users' interests as identified by the recommendation algorithm, thereby improving the "hallucination" (false information) issue and increasing the likelihood of generating suitable results.

Available on Google Chrome, Naver Corp. and Liner mobile applications, Liner Chat is designed to recognize the input language automatically, generating answers accordingly. The platform has learned 156 languages through Liner users and provides sophisticated services in more than 20 languages.

Liner Chat's launch has garnered significant global interest, with daily active users surging by 44%.

"Our goal is to be among the top five in the world's fastest language model services using generative AI," said Liner CEO Kim Jin Woo.

As a startup operating a content curation and AI-based search platform, Liner has secured over 10 million monthly active users across more than 160 countries worldwide.
