Lotte Data Communication Co. announced on Friday that it has signed a business agreement with Lotte Engineering & Construction and UK-based urban air mobility (UAM) infrastructure specialist Skyports Infrastructure to promote the domestic development of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) ports.

The three companies will establish a cooperative system for VTOL port commercialization based on each company’s specialized technological capabilities.

Lotte Data Communication will be responsible for developing, constructing and operating the necessary information and communications technology (ICT) systems for VTOL ports, while Lotte E&C will oversee design and construction and Skyports will handle VTOL port design.

In addition, the three companies will plan the entire process from site selection to design, construction and operation of VTOL ports and actively explore related business opportunities.
