The online pre-sale of K-pop band BTS' 10th anniversary stamp sold out early.

According to the Korea Post on Wednesday, the online pre-sale of BTS' 10th anniversary commemorative stamps, which began at 7 p.m. the previous day through the Internet Post Office and the Postal Service mobile app, sold out of 120,000 stamps at 10 p.m., three hours after the sale began.

The commemorative stamp packet, which includes one sheet of 10 stamps and one commemorative stamp book, had sold 55,000 copies as of 7 a.m. on the 23rd, out of a reserve of 150,000 copies.

The remainder will be available for pre-sale until midnight on the 25th.

The online pre-sale was crowded after 7 p.m. on Monday and sometimes took more than 20 to 30 minutes to purchase, but the waiting time gradually decreased over time.

"The online pre-sale operated smoothly without any system access failures," an official from the Postal Service said.

Online pre-sales for overseas fans will begin on the first day of the next month on Korea Post's website.

It will be sold through social media authentication without any membership registration process.

For those unable to take advantage of the online pre-sale service, commemorative stamps and commemorative stamp packets will be available for purchase at post offices nationwide from the 13th of next month.

The stamps feature images of BTS' activities and albums to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the group's debut, which popularized K-pop around the world.
