South Korea's GC Biopharma Corp. announced on Thursday that its flu vaccine GC Flu secured a $10 million order in the upcoming bid by Thailand's Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) next year.

Since entering the Thai flu vaccine market in 2014, this is the largest supply for GC Biopharma. GC Flu has gained international recognition for the safety and efficacy of domestically produced vaccines, expanding its exports to various countries each year.

GC Biopharma is the largest supplier of seasonal flu vaccines under the World Health Organization (WHO) and provides flu vaccines to 63 countries worldwide, with a cumulative production of over 300 million doses.

"Since the timing for vaccination before the epidemic is predetermined for seasonal flu vaccines, swift response capabilities in export contract negotiations are crucial," Head of GC Biopharma's Global Business Division Lee Woo-jin said. "Building on our established position in international organization procurement markets, we plan to accelerate entry into private markets in individual countries."
