Hyundai Motor Co. announced on Friday that it unveiled the high-performance electric vehicle (EV) IONIQ 5's N Performance Concept model NPX1 for the first time at the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon.

The company introduced features that enhance dynamic driving performance, such as lightweight hybrid carbon wheels, high-performance brake pads, and down springs.

Notably, the front bumper of the vehicle is equipped with a real carbon material tuning part called the Front Splitter to control or minimize air resistance.

Additionally, the car features Side Skirts on the left and right doors and below the rear bumper, promoting airflow beneath the chassis.

The Rear Diffuser quickly releases airflow from the car's underbody. The Rear Wing Spoiler on the trunk increases stability with generated downforce.

The interior is adorned with Alcantara material and racing bucket seats, adding a touch of luxury.

Hyundai also revealed plans to present "IONIQ 5 N performance parts" this year, optimized for high-performance driving. These parts, featured in the concept model, are pre-production items.

Hyundai is developing high-performance parts not only for vehicles with the N brand, such as Avante N, i30 N, and i20 N, but also for the IONIQ 5 N.
