Samsung Electronics Co. is ramping up its recruitment of experienced professionals across its Device eXperience (DX) and Device Solution (DS) divisions to bolster AI technology research and development.

According to the electronics industry on Wednesday, Samsung Electronics announced that it is hiring experienced employees in the DX division until Feb. 26. There are more than 90 positions available.

The company is focusing on recruiting talents related to AI.

Samsung Research,  the advanced R&D hub of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, is leading this charge by hiring for research and development in cutting-edge areas such as large language models (LLM), generative AI, and on-device AI.

The Visual Display (VD) business unit and the Global CS Center are on the lookout for AI developers to innovate customer and multi-device experiences, using generative AI to craft novel user interactions with everyday electronic devices.

Samsung Electronics is scouting for experts capable of driving new business ventures and mergers and acquisitions (M&A), especially in the automotive sector, which is seen as a burgeoning revenue stream.

This follows a period of relative inactivity in large-scale M&A since the acquisition of Harman in 2017, with industry insiders speculating on potential moves in automotive AI and other new business areas.

The DS division is recruiting experienced employees until Feb. 20. with a total of over 800 job positions available. The Memory Business Unit is seeking talents for roles such as developing next-generation DRAM solutions and CXL compute express link (CXL) products.
