South Korea’s IGIS Asset Management Co. said on Wednesday that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with six companies, including Naver Labs, for the joint development of a Tech Convergence Space Platform.

The MOU participants include IGIS Asset Management, IGIS Value Plus REIT, IGIS Residence REIT, Naver Cloud, Naver Labs, and Samoo Architects & Engineers. Samoo is known for designing Naver’s headquarters "1784".

IGIS Asset Management explained that with this MOU, the technology from Naver’s 1784 headquarters, which integrates Naver’s smart technologies, along with Samoo Architects & Engineers’ FIT platform design expertise, can be applied for the first time to the Taepyeongro Building, an office space owned by IGIS Value Plus REIT.

The FIT platform is a modular system that allows various building functions, such as air conditioning, to be installed on the exterior walls, enabling the space to be adapted to different uses based on external conditions and user needs.

The company also mentioned that it plans to use the jointly developed Tech Convergence Space Platform as an investment solution for new managed funds.
