South Korea's SK Telecom Co. said on Monday that it will host the SK AI Summit 2024 on November 4-5 at COEX in Seoul, expanding the annual event into a global forum this year.

Executives from major global AI companies, including President of OpenAI Greg Brockman,  Corporate VP at Microsoft Rani Borkar, and CEO of Lambda Stephen Balaban are set to attend.

South Korean AI experts, such as Yeom Jae-ho, Vice Chairman of the National AI Commission and President of Taejae University, and Lee Joon-pyo Lee, CEO of Softbank Venture Asia (SBVA), are also expected to participate.

SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won will deliver the opening speech, outlining strategies for fostering collaboration within the global AI ecosystem and sharing the company’s vision for AI technology.

SK Telecom CEO Yoo Young-sang and SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-jung will unveil the group's AI strategy and showcase new product developments in an 'AI Unpacked' presentation.

The summit will feature 100 sessions and 50 exhibitions, highlighting AI infrastructure, semiconductors, and services.

The event is free to the public, with registration available on the SK AI Summit website, skaisummit.com.
