Stockbridge Capital Group LLC, a US real estate investment firm, announced on Feb. 10 that David Park has joined the firm as a managing director.

At Stockbridge Park will focus on acquisitions, capital formation and portfolio strategy for the firm's opportunistic and platform business, which is oriented toward large-scale programmatic ventures.

He most recently served as senior vice president for the National Pension Service's (NPS) New York office, leading real estate investments in the Americas. The South Korean pension fund has closed partnerships with Stockbridge, including a $2 billion co-investment in logistics facilities across the US in December 2020. In November 2019, the two parties jointly acquired an 8.7 million-square-foot logistics facility in the US.

Park has 16 years of real estate industry experience. Before joining NPS, he covered distressed investment at Lone Star Funds/Hudson in New York and mortgage-backed securities investment at Federal National Mortgage Association in Washington D.C. He received a bachelor’s degree in applied economics & management from Cornell University and a master’s degree in real estate finance & investment from New York University.

"Park’s exceptional track record with a well regarded global investor provides Stockbridge valuable perspective, particularly in its pursuit of scalable, thesis-driven investment programs tailored to the preferences of a global investor base," said Stockbridge Executive Managing Director Terry Fancher.

Stockbridge's portfolio comprises assets across the investment risk spectrum, including core, value-added and opportunistic strategies. The US firm and its affiliates have around $24.9 billion of assets under management as of end-September 2021.
