South Korea's service robot company Everybot Inc. acquired AI robot mobility specialist hyCore to expand into the personal mobility sector.

Everybot, a company listed on the Kosdaq, said on Monday that it secured management rights by acquiring 947,250 shares or 31.8% stake in hyCore.

Founded in 2012, hycore possesses core technologies in three areas: motor control technology, electric and electronic drive system design and manufacturing, and AI autonomous driving.

In collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group, hycore has developed autonomous electric wheelchairs, logistics robot carts, and personal mobility devices.
