Samsung Electronics Co.'s latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, has earned outstanding reviews from consumer groups throughout Europe, surpassing the iPhone 14 Pro Max in some instances.


Available since Jan. 17, the phone received an 84-point rating from the UK's Which?, surpassing the iPhone 14 Pro Max by one point. It topped Denmark's Tank rankings and tied with the iPhone 14 Pro Max for first place in Italy's Altroconsumo, Spain's OCU, Portugal's Deco Proteste, Belgium's Tech Achats, and the Netherlands' Consumentenbond.

Reviewers praised the Galaxy S23 Ultra's camera, with a resolution of up to 200 million pixels and various features and functions. They also highlighted the phone's high performance as an Android device.

Which? ranked the Galaxy S23 Ultra first in its Mobile Phone Review with a total score of 84 points, recommending it for those seeking a high-performance Android smartphone. The Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 ranked third and fourth, respectively, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro were ranked second and fifth, respectively.

Tank also chose the Galaxy S23 Ultra as its top-rated smartphone, with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max in second and third place. Additionally, consumer federations in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, and the Netherlands jointly selected the Galaxy S23 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max as their top picks.
