Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Thursday that it will release the Galaxy A24, a budget phone model in the domestic market on Friday to targeting the low-end market.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy A24 features a super AMOLED display and a 50-megapixel rear camera, offering a compelling package at an affordable price. It also supports Samsung Pay for seamless online and offline payments.

The Galaxy A24 boasts a large 6.5-inch (164.2mm) Super AMOLED display, delivering sharp visuals and an immersive experience for content watching, videos and gaming.

On the rear, it is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera, providing a total of three camera options. The front-facing camera is 13 megapixels, ideal for capturing selfies.

Notably, the rear camera comes with optical image stabilization (OIS) and video digital image stabilization (VDIS) features, showcasing performance that rivals premium smartphones. These functions allow users to capture clear photos and videos even in situations with shaking or movement.

In terms of battery and charging, it supports up to 25-watt fast wired charging and is equipped with a large 5,000-mAh battery. The device offers 128 GB of storage and can accommodate a microSD card of up to 1 TB for additional storage needs.

The Galaxy A24 supports LTE networks and will be available in three colors: black, light green and dark red. It will be released as both carrier-locked and unlocked models in partnership with the three major mobile network providers in South Korea. The device will be priced at 396,000 won ($297).
