South Korea's Kakao Enterprise Corp. announced on Friday that it has formed a joint sales partnership with Salesforce Korea to support digital innovation in the information technology (IT) services, including gaming, blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI) and entertainment sectors, and to discuss strategies for expanding their customer base.

Through this joint sales partnership, both companies plan to hold an event called "Partner's Day" (tentatively named) to promote joint sales and promotions targeting corporate customers in the IT services sector.

This approach involves offering additional benefits, such as free credits, to corporate customers who wish to experience Kakao Cloud or Salesforce through joint sales and promotions. For instance, if a corporate customer using Salesforce is interested in adopting Kakao Cloud, they will be connected through mutual exchange and will receive continuous benefits, including expert guidance on cloud adoption and free credits.

Furthermore, the two companies intend to conduct technical reviews to enable the seamless integration of Kakao Cloud infrastructure and the customer relationship management (CRM) services provided by Salesforce.

"Through this strategic partnership, both companies will discuss practical measures to expand their customer base in the IT services sector and work together proactively," said Son Buhan, CEO of Salesforce Korea.

"We plan to continually develop synergistic strategies with Salesforce Korea for the future. In particular, we aim to actively support high-performance cloud utilization in the essential IT services sectors such as gaming, blockchain, AI and entertainment, to accelerate digital innovation through Kakao Cloud," commented Lee Kyung-Jin, CEO of Kakao Enterprise.
