Millie Seojae, the e-book platform subsidiary of South Korea's KT Corp., announced on Thursday that it introduced an AI text-to-speech (TTS) feature.

This feature converts text within content into AI-generated speech that mimics human intonation, pronunciation, and subtle breathing.

The company employs high-quality AI speech synthesis technology that has learned from various voice samples, ensuring high stability. Users can choose from four different AI voices based on their preferences.

The AI TTS feature was first applied to Android-based devices and is planned to be expanded to iOS devices within the year.

"We focused on creating a comfortable voice for long-term listening through earphones or headphones," a company source said.
