South Korea's travel app MyRealTrip announced that it partnered with the Japanese accommodation and restaurant reservation platform Ikyu, becoming the first domestic travel app to do so.

Through this new partnership, MyRealTrip will offer a restaurant booking service for 160 top-rated dining establishments in Japan, including renowned high-end restaurants like Sushi Shin Tokyo and Sushi Miyakawa, where local reservations can often be difficult to make.

Customers can use the MyRealTrip app or website to select their desired restaurant and provide detailed information such as date, time, and the number of people, without the need for separate communication with the restaurant. The reservation will be confirmed automatically.

MyRealTrip, which has been providing local restaurant reservation services in Japan for the past four months, aims to streamline the reservation process by eliminating the inconvenience of making direct phone calls to local concierges or restaurants. By partnering with Ikyu, a widely used and reliable reservation service in Japan, MyRealTrip is launching this new service.

"With increasing interest in gourmet dining during travel to Japan, we have enhanced our services to allow customers to easily experience local delicacies," the CEO of MyRealTrip Lee Dong-gun said. "Through this partnership with a highly reputable Japanese reservation platform, customers can use our service with confidence."
