South Korea's major defense maker LIG Nex1 Co. announced on Tuesday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hyundai Rotem Co. to cooperate with exports to the Middle Eastern countries during the World Defense Show (WDS) 2024, held in Saudi Arabia on Feb. 5.

The two companies, which have collaborated in various domestic and international defense exhibitions in recent years, decided to strengthen their cooperation by exchanging export business-related information following the MOU signing.

In 2021, at the Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition (ADEX), LIG Nex1 showcased a model featuring Hyundai Rotem's unmanned vehicle, HR-Sherpa, equipped with the infantry anti-tank guided missile system, AT-1K Raybolt (Hyungung).

Last year, at the International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Poland, the company exhibited Hyundai Rotem's unmanned concept vehicle equipped with an integrated drone system.
