Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Monday that it will sequentially release its organic light-emitting diode (OLED) gaming monitor Odyssey OLED G9, with the world's first dual QHD (5,120 x 1,440) resolution, in major markets worldwide, including the United States.

Odyssey OLED G9 (based on the G95SC model) features a 49-inch ultra-wide screen with a 32:9 aspect ratio, a curved design with a 1800R curvature (curved to a radius of 1,000 mm), a 240 Hz refresh rate and a 0.03 ms (GTG) response time.

Equipped with the Neo Quantum Processor Pro, Samsung Electronics' proprietary image quality technology, it implements vivid gaming experiences by automatically adjusting the brightness and contrast of the screen using artificial intelligence (AI) upscaling.

With support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, it reduces tearing issues during high-spec gameplay caused by communication problems.

It also includes convenient features such as height adjustment and tilt adjustment.

It comes with a built-in Smart Hub and the Samsung Gaming Hub, a streaming game platform integration service, allowing users to enjoy cloud games and over-the-top media services without the need for separate devices.

In addition, the G93SC model, a model targeting customers who do not use smart services, will also be introduced. Odyssey OLED G9 G95SC model will start pre-sales on June 26 and be officially released on July 3. The G93SC model is scheduled for release in July.
