South Korea’s leading fried chicken franchise BB.Q Chicken announced on Wednesday it opened its fourth restaurant at The Shops in Manila, the Philippines.

The Shops is a large shopping mall in Southeast Manila, located on a bustling street with department stores, supermarkets, hotels, and offices. It's known as an excellent commercial center with high foot traffic and consumption.

BB.Q store in The Shops is 231 square meters with 112 seats. It is a premium cafe where local customers can enjoy Korean food such as tteokbokki with Korean-style fried chicken, as well as coffee, and pizza.

In November last year, BB.Q opened its first store in Global City, one of Manila's most upscale residential neighborhoods. The company has been so popular with local consumers and tourists that expanded to four stores just in one year.

"Our first store in the Philippines has emerged as a hotspot among local consumers, with an average of more than 700 visitors per day," a BB.Q source said. "We will continue to expand our stores in Southeast Asian countries, including the Da Nang store in Vietnam which was opened last month, so that local people can taste BB.Q’s special K-chicken."
