Samsung Electronics Co. will showcase four projects and eight startups developed through its venture program C-Lab at CES 2023, the world's largest tech exhibition to be held from Jan. 5 to Jan. 8 of the next year.

The South Korean tech giant is running C-Lab Inside, its in-house venture program, and C-Lab Outside, an external startup acceleration program. Since its inception in 2016, C-Lab has nurtured a total of 506 startups and projects and attracted an aggregate investment of 1.34 trillion won ($1.1 billion).

During the tech show, the C-Lab Inside will introduce four projects in two themes: metaverse and lifestyle.

The projects are Meta-running, a metaverse platform to learn proper running form; Porkamix, a metaverse platform that enables interactive concert experiences; Soom, a meditation solution with real-time feedback through a smart watch; and Falette, a home fabric products shopping platform via 3D display.

C-Lab Outside will unveil eight external startups it has nurtured. The ventures include NdotLight, a web-based 3D design solutions provider, Neubility, an urban delivery service provider through self-driving robots, 40FY, a digital mental healthcare software developer, and Cellico, a micro-bionic eye for patients with retinal disease.

The C-Lab projects in November received 29 awards, its highest record, from the CES owner and producer Consumer Technology Association (CTA). Two projects won Best of Innovation Awards and 27 were named Innovation Awards Honorees, Samsung said.
