Hyundai Mobis, the world’s sixth-largest auto parts maker, unveiled the latest version of its next-generation integrated cockpit system M.VICS 5.0 on Tuesday.

Hyundai Mobis previously introduced the world's first M.VICS in 2021, which analyzes the driver's posture, heart rate and brain waves.

M.VICS 5.0 focuses on the convergence of display technology under the theme "All You Can See."

The entire front section from the left pillar of the driver’s seat to the right pillar of the passenger seat is designed as a single, borderless widescreen.

The widescreen consists of a total of five display panels.

On either side of the main 27-inch screen, which shows the dashboard, map information and media, are 7-inch screens displaying vehicle status information and control buttons.

There is a projection display for operating the driving environment through touch and haptic (physical feedback like vibration) interactions, and a 12.3-inch screen for the passenger.

Hyundai Mobis has designed each display panel to function independently according to its purpose and usage environment, while also being able to integrate into a single screen when needed.

This technology allows the size and tilt of the display panels to be adjusted according to driving conditions.

The feature enables the screens to change to an optimized size and move up and down depending on the driving situation.

In Drive Mode, part of the panel moves below the dashboard, transforming into a smaller display.

In Theater Mode and Relax Mode, the tilt and size of the display adjust according to the lowering steering wheel and seat angle.

This feature also separates the display screens of the driver and passenger seats, restricting media viewing that might distract the driver.

Hyundai Mobis has filed nine patents related to component package design and user experience technologies developed during the launch of M.VICS 5.0.
