South Korea’s Lotte Hotels & Resorts announced on Friday that it held the opening event for L7 Chicago by Lotte in Chicago, the US, 

Earlier, Lotte Hotels & Resorts acquired Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Chicago and has been rebranding it under the L7 brand.

L7 Chicago is the fourth US chain of Lotte Hotels & Resorts, following Lotte New York Palace, Lotte Hotel Seattle, and Lotte Hotel Guam, and is the first L7 hotel in North America.

The 14-story, 191-room L7 Chicago was designed by the design firm AvroKO. AvroKO incorporated elements inspired by the Korean traditional textile patchwork technique "jogakbo" into various parts of the hotel, such as the guest room carpets and lamp shades.

In the food and beverage sector, Korean-American Steakhouse Perilla, in collaboration with local renowned chef Andrew Lim, will serve Korean-style barbecue.
